Character Guidelines

To apply for your character you must use the form below and post it in ID Renewal (For Canon Characters) or in ID Registry (For your own ones). Once it has been approved, it will be moved into the "Accepted Profiles" Area and you can begin roleplaying.

Name: [Name of your character. Please don't use Canon names unless applying for a Canon!]
Age: [Age of your character. Students can write "student".]
Heritage: [Pureblood, HalfBlood, muggleborn etc.]
Family: [A bit about your parents, siblings]
Side: [This is Neutral, Good or Evil. Mention whether you are a Death Eater, Auror, Order Member, or just a supporter here.]
Personality: [Detail in here, lots. And on't be prefect. We don't want perfect people who are pretty, smart, brave, loyal, prefect at everything they do! It's just annoying, they must have weaknesses]
Background: [Right quite a bit for this. Talk about your childhood or past. For adults, after school etc. Lots to write here. Write about friends, advantures etc.History your life in here.]
Physical Appearance: [Looks. Post a celeb picture, if you have one.]
Ambition in Life: [For kids, do they know what they want to be? Unknown or changing?]
Role Model in Life: [For kids, do you have a rolemodel in life? Adults have one or had one in past? etc.]
House: [For Students [This is your preferred house] only but adults may write their past house]
Job: [Write what Job you want here. Please make sure it's available by checking the "Career Options" post. Students may just write "Students"]
Special Powers or Gifts: [All powers will be listed here so I can accept them. Most common are legilimency and occlumency, only for Adults though. Students cannot have any.]
Roleplaying Sample: [Post a sample of your roleplaying technique. Rather large paragraph or two, with detail. Describe surroundings, time, place, people, feelings, objects etc.]
The Referral Source: [Just mention where you heard about us. Don't worry if you don't remember.]
Password: [the password from the Rules. Link on main welcoming table]

Read "Sorting" in the Great Hall to be sorted. All children must go there for sorting.

Students please add this bit in the sorting section in the Great Hall:
Houses in order: [Ascending order from which you house you prefer. From the house that you want, to the 2nd, 3rd and then the least wanted one.]
Favourite Spell: [Favourite Spell(s) that your character has]
Favourite Animal: [Favourite Animal(s)]
Favourite Colours: [Your characters favourite colours.]

Students add this bit into the "Sorting Hat" on in the Great Hall.

Students:

All students will start at the age of 11, as they will all be 1st years. Once you go into the 2nd year, you will be 12 and so on.

To be a student, you have to fill in the same form as the one below and you also have to fill in the extra bit, that's just for students, (in the 2nd post) and post it into the sorting area.

Name: [name of your student character.]
Age: [All start at 11, so you can just write "student" so you don't have to change it when you jump years.]
Heritage: [Pureblood, Halfblood, Muggleborn etc]
Family: [Your parents/ guardians. All students must have a guardian so don't say you're an orphan with no guardian. You can just say that you have foster parents if you are an orphan but you don't need to describe them]
Side: [Many will put unknown as it can change at 11. But if you think you know then put "good" or "evil" or something on it to show. For example: "True Slytherin", "Brave Gryffindor", "Witty Ravenclaw", "Loyal Hufflepuff". From these titles, I'll assume that Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff are good (Order supporters) and Slytherin are evil unless you specify]
Personality: [Basically their (ever-changing) personality. Yes, they can change so I'm not to bothered but put at least 1 paragraph in here as it shows that you've thought about it]
Background: [Your history. Even for kids, this should be at least 1 paragraph (about 5 lines, at least) seeing as you could write about anything!]
Physical Appearance: [Appearance of character and maybe a celeb picture]
Ambition in Life: [Any ambitions yet? Examples: Auror, Death Eater, Career ambition, Fortune ambition, Knowlegde ambition, Family ambition, Romance ambition etc]
Role Model in Life: [Any role models in life? Someone like Dumbledore or the Dark Lord? Or just maybe your grand parent. etc]
House: [Preferred house to be in.]
Job: [Just put Student]
Special Powers or Gifts: [You shouldn't really have any at 11. But you can list things which you will get when you come of a good age (I'll probably say a suitable age for that skill. Eg, wandless magic should be at least 15.]
Roleplaying Sample: [Just give me a paragraph or 2 on anything you want, it will just show me your style of roleplaying. Use puncuations, correct grammer, good spelling, etc. It doesn't need a really good plot or anything.]
The Referral Source: [Where did you get this address from? Don't worry if you don't remember but it's just good to know where it's from. Mention a username if you found it from someone else on this site]
Password: [This is the password from the Rules, just to show that you briefly looked through it at least.]

Now that's explained in a good amount of detail, I can carry on.

Twins and triplets:
We already have a few twins on TRH (The Replacement Hogwarts) [[TR didn't look too good, lol]] but I will be willing to accept ~~1 more set of twins and~~ 1 set of triplets. This doesn't count if you are roleplaying Canon Characters, such as the Weasley twins or the Patil sisters. All Canon Characters that are twins are accepted. No more twins [Unless you have a good plot, in which case, you can PM me and I'll see about it].
No more adult twins as we already have 2 (and then there is the Canon twins).

Canon Twins such as Fred and George and Padma and Parvati, are still allowed to be created.

Twins can be placed onto the same account, if you bid me to do so. I agree that most twins send numerous times together so logging out and in is a pain. If you want me to put them onto the same account then just say so, and apply for it on the account that you want it on. (Or say which one to place it on).
