"Look, just because you're my brother does not give you the right to think you can disrupt my class and get away with it." She glowered back at him. "Now either you tell me what prompted your outburst or you can join our Headmistress in detention tomorrow, seeing as I already have a prior engagement." She said with a meaningful glance at the Slytherin girl. "Now take your pick Kris." She then turned to the Gryffindor girl who had spoken out of turn. "Miss Malfoy, as I did not hear anything but Kris's outburst I cannot do anything about it and I am not blaming him for anything other than his outburst so kindly refrain from interrupting while I am diciplining someone."

Kris glared at his sister. "Just give me the detention because we both know ti's going to end up that way Millie." He sighed. He knew she would be furious with him for a bit but he didn't care. If people truly thought she would be giving him a free ride then they were deffinatly wrong. He had to work for his grades just like everyone else did.

Lana watched the two siblings bicker. Her brother and her always bickered, but it was more amusing to watch other siblings fight. "Trouble at home," Lana muttered under her breath. She couldn't believe Kris was actually asking for detention. If it was her, she would have fought for it, or at least refuse the detention.

"Fine, have it your way Kris." Millie pursed her lips as she glared at him. "You will be joining the Headmistress tomorrow at seven promptly for your detention." She then walked to the front of her class and waved her wand. The ingredients and instructions appeared on the board.
ingredients: sneezewort, scurvy-grass, and lovage
Brewing instructions: place the Sneezewort in the cauldron and let it simmer for 20 min. Add Scurvy-grass and let simmer for ten minutes. Add final ingredient and let it simmer for 30 min then cool compleately before bottling.
"Now get to work!" She barked at the students.

Kris scowled at his sister before he pulled out his ingredients and set himself to the task of compleating his potion. He did not bother to look up at Millie or even look around the classroom for that matter. What was the use of just seeing more of them glare at him for making the professor mad?

Asher set to work on his potion, making sure he was much more careful this time unlike the previous attempt in the first lesson. He placed the sneezewort into the cauldron and was about to add something else when he realized he had to wait for twenty minutes. Well that's boring. Asher took a seat and yawned. "Wow, this is sure exciting," he said sarcastically to no one in particular.

lana smirked at Asher's comment and went to work. Potion was always her strongest subject, but it was just a bit boring. It didn't challenge her at all. She added the Sneeze-wort and waited for the twenty minutes to be up. "Going to blow your potion up this time," she asked Asher. She smiled at him, hoping he knew not to take it as an insult and that it was all in good fun.

"I hadn't really planned on it, but if the class doesn't liven it up some, I might have to make that sacrafice," responded Asher with a grin. It was true; the actual lessons in potions had been awfully boring so far. Of course, History of Magic would probably be much worse which worried Asher even more. How was he supposed to stay awake for that class if he was already having that same problem in this one?

"Good," Lana said, smiling back. "You need to make sure you keep Bergstrom on her toes." Lana added the Scurvy-grass after realizing twenty minutes was up. She stirred the potion then waited for another ten minutes. "What is this potion suppose to do again," Lana asked, peering into her cauldron.

Asher added in the next ingredient too and waited for the next 10 minutes to pass up. "I dunno. It's the confusing draught or something right? Because then I suppose it would confuse people. That's obviously the most logical option..." Asher glanced around the room, wondering why everyone was just sitting there and not doing a single thing.
Damien was also working in the back of the room. His potion was turning out find as he stirred it casually. This was certainly a boring class for him.

Jessica was also rather bored. She said to Kris, "It is rather boring isn't it?"
Artemis sat in the back and stirred her bubbling potion casually, waiting for all to break loose. She stared up at the professor, waiting.

Mel and Syne sat in the back of the class quietly making their potions.
"Crap!" Mel whispered to Syne, "How long has it been since we added the sneezewort?" Mel's voice was slightly panicy.
"Well, I added mine about fiffteen minutes ago," Syne told her sister trying not to laugh "but I know you added yours a few minutes after me."
"Well," Mel said optimistically, "a minute or two shouldn't make that much difference. That shouldn't cause a violent reaction will it?"
Syne didn't say a word. Mel really had to learn to pay attention to details. 'maybe if I let her blow it up she'll get the point.' She shrugged at her sister and calmly added her next incrediant. she had to fight to not laugh as Mel added hers.

Kris heard a soft crackling sound coming from the back of the room. Curious he turned around and looked to see where the sound was coming from. He didn't have to look long as he noticed sparks emitting from Mel's potion. That was not normal and he knew it. His eyes went wide as he realized that she had done something wrong.
He muttered "Oh crap!" as he quickly ducked under his table and waited for the impending explosion.

Lana heard a noise and turned to see Kris ducking under the table. She didn't notice the sparks coming from Mel's cauldron. "He's such a nutter," Lana muttered, turning back to her cauldron. "Maybe Kris finished his potion already and had some." Lana peered into her cauldron and was starting to get impatient waiting for the potion to simmer.

Ginny walked into the classroom in a frustrated, fuming flap. Why, you ask? Peeves. He had knocked over some kind of sticky substance along with a few suits of armour, and she had at first gotten stuck in the slowly solidifying goop and if that wasn't enough, she almost tripped down the stairs as she freed herself.
A slight growl of frustration escaped her lips as she explained herself to the teacher, today was not a day her classmates would want to be messing with Ginny Weasley. Her temper was in a bad way and she was ready to explode at the first sign of an antagonist.
