Hermione smiled, assuming that Syne meant that she and her sister were so exceptionally close that she knew what her sister was thinking, she didn't suspect an actual connection between the girls. "You two must be close," she commented, "I don't have any siblings myself, so I can't really comment. And I don't often see my parents. Muggles, you know." She watched for signs of disgust at her announcement of muggle parents. The girls didn't seem like traditional Malfoys, but she'd known by Syne's reaction whether or not she had been right.

"Very." Syne replied, she wasn't sure why Miss Granger had felt it nessasary to point out that she was muggle born. Syne was well aware of it. She and Mel had been informed of the people they weren't to associate with and well. Miss Granger and Ginny were at the top of the list. "Me and my sister have what muggles call the twin bond but being witches it is a bit more than that. We can quite litterally feel what each other feels and know what each other is thinking. We only pay attention to it in situations of extreme stress but it is always there like static on a muggle radio."
"Oh and Miss Granger?" She added on almost as an after thought. "I could care less whether your parents were squibs who lived wild in the african bush. I don't put store on where a persons family comes from or their tallents. Our mother raised us better than that. All we care about is how the person acts, what their values are. If we cared about things like blood purity, we wouldn't be hanging around with Ginny Weasley. We were given a very specific list of people that our Uncle forbid us to associate with and I am sure it comes as no supprise to you that yours and Miss Weasley's names are at the top of that list."
Finished with her speach she waited for the nurse to respond. She had been brutally honest and truely hoped that the older witch wasn't offended by her blunt honesty. "No offense meant." She said out loud. "I believe in being blunt and I don't believe in sugar coating things for anyone. I just get so fed up with people either assuming that because I'm a Malfoy I'm evil or that because I'm a Gryffindor I'm a dissapointment to my entire family."
((Sorry . . . my characters are getting wordy today . . . but then Syne has had quite a day . . . LOL))

"Me and my sister have what muggles call the twin bond but being witches it is a bit more than that. We can quite litterally feel what eachother feels and know what eachother is thinking. We only pay attention to it in situations of extreme stress but it is always there like static on a muggle radio."
"Oh," said Hermione quietly, never having believed in things that couldn't be proved by science, or that weren't written in a text book. She supposed there was no way to prove that it wasn't true. Plus, if Syne said they had the twin bond, she wasn't going to just say they didn't.
"Oh and Miss Granger? I could care less whether your parents were squibs who lived wild in the african bush. I don't put store on where a persons family comes from or their tallents. Hermione smiled, a very soft laugh escaping her lips. "That's good to hear, that you aren't hampered by what your relatives think. Oh, so you've met Ginny? I'd been meaning to go and see her, ask her how things are going with the classes..." she mused.
"No offense meant. I believe in being blunt and I don't believe in sugar coating things for anyone."
Hermione waved the girl's words away. "No offense taken. If that's your view, I'm glad. At least you aren't as narrow-minded as some." By some, it was quiet obvious that Hermione meant Syne's family, the Malfoys. "I don't like it when people sugar-coat things. That's why Dumbledore was such a great Headmaster... always said what he meant, when he wanted. Regardless of what others thought of him."

"Yes, we've met Ginny." Syne replied. "I don't think she has entirely decided on whether to trust us or not yet but that's ok. Being a Weasley, I wouldn't have been suprised if she had dismissed us as evil merely for being Malfoy's I know Uncle Lucius refuses to believe that a Weasley could be anything other than what he calls a Muggle Lover. I don't know if there are any Weasley's that believe as my uncle does but he would never trust them if there were."

Hermione smiled, letting out a soft laugh. "I assure you, I have never met a Weasley that hates muggles. I've spent several summers with them all and they're all very nice people. Mr. Weasley - Arthur as he tells me to call him - is always very interested to hear about muggle devices. Your uncle would probably say that the Weasley's are all blood-traitors, and well, he's correct. Though I don't think traitor is a proper term for it, really." The Weasley's were all nice people, she had never really had a disagreement with them, except with the actions of that arrogant prat, Percy.

"I've no doubt that they are all very nice." Syne assured her, "especially if Ginny is anything to go by." She felt a stirring in her mind a faint echo of pain and new that her twin was waking up again. Turning back to her twin she said "Shhhh . . . I'm here and not going anywhere. I plan to write mum latter and Ares, is there anything you want me to tell them."
'Just send my love.' Mel responded unable to form the words. She moaned softly as she allowed herself to be lulled back to sleep as she heard her twin say "Don't worry, I'll tell them." She felt her twin's hand smoothing her forehead, stratigically avoiding the burns on her face.
Turning back to Miss Granger she said "We should move this a couple cots away if we are going to keep talking. She needs to be able to sleep, it's better then the pain. Your salve helped a great deal but she is still hurting a great deal. Now that she is only sleeping and not unconcious I can feel it to. The unfortunate thing is your salve will do me no good." She finished with a soft chuckle.

Hermione smiled. If Ginny was willing to trust these girls, she certainly could too. She bit her lip as Mel began to awaken, wondering if there was anything she could do to stop the stinging. It would probably be sore for a while longer, but by the second day the pain would stop and the healing process would begin to take effect.

Hermione nodded in agreement, standing up straighter and walking a little further away from Mel. "Do you think she'd like a Dreamless Sleep potion? It'll be harder for her to wake up and so she won't be able to feel the pain as much, and neither will you. She'll wake up in a few hours and I'll apply more of the cream then. How does that sound?"

"Speaking purely as a sister, it would be best for her to have a dreamless draught but I know she wouldn't want it." Syne responded honestly. "I think it comes from being in Malfoy manor for the last three months but we don't like to be helpless and being in a druged sleep . . . well, that is about as helpless as you can get." Syne chewed at her lower lip debating. "I can't really say one way or the other" She cried helplessly.

"Okay, well I'll leave her be for now, if she wakes up completely then we can ask her." As a nurse, it was her job to do what was best for the patient. But in this instance, where she felt she should get the patient's consent, she supposed what was best for Mel have to take the back seat to make way for her wishes. "But if you feel a great deal of pain through your connection, then maybe it would be best for both of you to give her the potion. After all, this is Hogwarts, which is a lot safer than Malfoy Manor, I'll bet." She smiled, remembering how at home and safe she had always felt at Hogwarts. But then again, Dumbledore was Headmaster then and uncertainties didn't fly around as often as they did now.
((OOC: Okay lol, it's probably best you be off then, lol. Talk to you later, lol))

Kris shook his head to the nurse. "No just the leg, I had seen the sparks and dived under my desk before it exploded but some of it hit me in the leg. My sister bandaged it for me to help me walk on it but it still hurts alot." He groaned again as a fresh wave shot through his leg.

Biting her lip as she heard another groan of pain, she went back over to the bench she had been at to collect the cream again. "It should work a bit quicker for you, unless it covered a very vast area." she explained as she began to unwrap the bandage. She smeared some of the violet cream on it and then looked up at him. "That feel any better?" she enquired.

Kris sighed with relief as the balm soothed his pain and he looked up at the nurse in thanks. "Yes." He croaked. Then looked at Mel, "Is she going to be alright? I mean I know she's gonna live but will be be alright otherwise?" He was concerned not only for her physical beinf but her mental as well. After all he liked Mel as a friend and was very worried about her.

Hermione nodded, smiling warmly at Kris as he voiced his concern for Melpomene. "She'll be fine. The skin should heal in a couple of days and she'll be right as rain, though her confidence may take a bit of a blow." she said truthfully. "But that's nothing that can't be fixed. After all, with all these people that care about her and stuck by her side, she should feel like she has enough support to carry on as usual." she reassured.

"Oh good." Kris sighed and laid back against the bed he was on. He had not realized how tired he was until he had closed his eyes and fell asleep instantly.
((OOC: I figure seeing as he was in alot of pain and fighting it that its better if he falls asleep for a bit to allow for healing.))

Syne heard Miss Grangers words to Kris and heaved a sigh of relief. That didn't let Draco off by a long shot, but it left him with the possibilty of recieving mercy from her. Syne simply sat there holding her twin's hand and eventually not even the mellow waves of pain washing through her were enough to keep her eyelids from drooping.
