Professor Randolf walked into the empty classroom and took the seat behind the teacher's desk. She never thought that she would be back behind these walls at Hogwarts. It has been so long since she has been here. The Slytherins in those days are nothing like the Slytherins today. She finished writing a few more notes for today's lesson plans as she waited for her students to enter.

Kris entered the classroom and looked about. He was curious as to what he could expect from this class and the teacher. He took a seat in the back of the classroom and tried not to draw attention to himself unnecessarily and hoped that the Slytherins would make sure they sat far away from him, he didn't need another detention.

Lana lazily strolled into the classroom and saw that she wasn't the first one there. She glanced quickly at Kris then decided to take a seat in the middle, away from Kris. She took out her thick History book and waited for someone to come and save her.

Jasper walked in, slowly, and looked around. Nobody was really inside yet, save two students and the professor. So, he decided to take a seat in the far back corner of the room. Hopefully, no one would speak to him. Or at least the teacher wouldn't.

Jessica walked in, she wasn't sure if this class would be boring or not. She shrugged and took a seat behind Kris, away from Lana, and most likely Summer.
Artemis walked in, she didn't really have many friends yet so she sat in a back seat to her self.

Asher entered the classroom to find that no one was sitting together. "Well this sure is school unity," he commented sarcastically as he looked around for a place to sit. He saw an empty seat by Lana and decided that he'd go over there. "Hey," he greeted her as he sat down and placed his books on the desk in front of him.

"Hey," Lana greeted him. Asher didn't annoy her as much as the other students in the school. Maybe because he's a half-blood like her, or maybe because she knew that Summer kind of have a thing for him. "So, what do you think? Is this class going to be boring or what?"

"On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the most boring, I'd put this class down for 18," answered Asher to Lana's question. "This will be my nap time of the day basically," he added with a grin. It was true though. It was almost like a spell, but as soon as he even stepped into the classroom, he was a bit drowsy. The air just had a sense of boredom to it. Even though air doesn't have senses...

Lana laughed. "Well, it's a good thing this class is midday, then," Lana said. "It helps break the day in half." She looked up and watched the teacher writing a few things down on her parchment. "Why would someone so young teach this class," Lana asked Asher. "I heard a ghost use to teach this class."

Jessica looked around and noticed Asher sit by Lana. She shrugged and glanced about the room. She noticed the teacher was rather young.
Artemis, who again, has no friends, decided to talk to the new guy. She turned to him and said, "Hey, I'm Artemis."

"Maybe she has no life... so she decided that boring other people to death would be a perfect job for her," suggested Asher as he glanced over at the teacher for the first time. She was quite young indeed. He heard the part about a ghost and shrugged. "It's not like they have anything better to do. Unless you're Peeves and being annoying is your pastime."

"Yeah," Lana scoffed at the mention of Peeves. "There has to be a way to get rid of the ghosts in the castle. Well, not all the ghosts, just Peeves. I wonder what he did when he was alive?"

"He was probably just a bum. Or a hobo or something. Can't imagine him doing much else," said Asher thoughtfully with a grin.
((Darn... Can't watch it tonight. Got too much homework to do... and too low a grade to not do it. Grr. Stupid science teacher))

Mel and Syne entered the classroom. Syne hearing the conversation between Lana and Asher scoffed, 'you would think that a Ravenclaw would know better.' "For the sake of accuracy," Syne said to Asher completely ignoring the slytherin girl. "Peeves was never alive he is merely a spirit of menace." Not really caring for an answer she continued on and took the seat next to Kris
Mel followed her sister, laughing at her need to make the slytherin girl look stupid. 'Did that feel good?' she thought to her twin. 'Making Lana looked like an idiot?'
'Yes, thank you.' Syne thought back to her sister, 'I am sure she has some smart comment comming but whatever.' Syne chuckled quietly.
OOC: Here is a quote concerning Peeves from JKR, herself. "Peeves isn't a ghost; he was never a living person. He is an indestructible spirit of chaos, and solid enough to unscrew chandeliers, throw walking sticks and, yes, chew gum." -- J.K. Rowling (JKR)
