Evan entered his new office in the dungeons with a lack of excitement. Teaching was never something he had planned to do and the fact that it was his assignment for the next year and maybe more wasn't pleasing him all that much. Never would he not obey the Dark Lord, but an assignment like this certainly fustrated him. Of course, Evan knew there were a lot worse things to be done; the fact that he had the Dark Lord's trust enough to be on this important of an assignment made him feel particularly pleased.
Evan slowly started to place his objects on the desk and glanced around at the bare walls. Certainly is a dreary place, he thought. Surprise hit him as he heard a knock on his door. "Come on in," he called to the person and waited to see who it was...
((Your cue to enter...))

Elizabeth turned back to the door as she heard his familar voice ring through it, she turned the handle and pushed open the door with a smile on her face, "Hey." she said softly as she glanced at the DADA Professor, with her head poked inside the room. She entered the office and closed the door behind her, suddenly getting a chill that ran down her spine. She wasn't too fond of the dungeons, as they had been rather chilly and cold. She quickly gave the bare walls a glance and wondered if Evan liked it that way. "The Aurors had declared this place safe and secured." she said, turning back to the head of Slytherin. She had just recieved news that they could start filling the children in soon, "I'll have to send out owls for the train dates now." she continued to him.

Evan turned around and saw that it was none other than the Headmistress, Elizabeth Aphrodite. "Oh, hello," he greeted in a friendly voice. Voldemort's mission laid on his mind and his thoughts were focused on it only. It's probably best to become allies with Aphrodite. That could definitely make my job around here easily and the Dark Lord may be pleased with that, thought Evan. He didn't show any expression on his face though.
The Aurors have declared this place safe and secured.
Oh, they have no idea, thought Evan as he quickly hid his smirk. "That's certainly a relief then... We wouldn't want to be part of a regenade school at this time," he spoke casually to Elizabeth. He smiled pleasantly at the mention of students and said, "It'll certainly make my job easier then if I actually have people to teach."

((OOC: Lol, involved idea of the plot- how about she ends up fancying you, lol))
Elizabeth laughed softly, "True. Better get them sent out soon." she said smiling at him. She wondered why the room was so dark and cold, and had a misty feeling about it when the owner seemed to be the opposite of it. "The school seems so different, especially with the rare meeting with anyone." she said sighing, as she sat down. From her way down from the 7th floor, she had only passed 2 people.
She knew there was something mysterious about him but that seemed to be what attracted her to him, for some reason she just liked talking to him. Hence the reason that she came in and made up things to say in attempt to make a conversation with him.

(That would certainly be interesting, lol. Sure)
"Yes, that is quite different than the past," agreed Evan as he took a seat as well. He wanted her to feel at home and standing up while talking to her would seem more like he was a superior or an aqcuantance than someone you could trust. "It's not exactly a great place down here either. A bit too bare for my tastes. I guess I'll just have a major re-decorating stint," Evan said conversationally. I'd never be caught decorating in a million years, he thought quietly. That was quite lame.

Lizzie bore a weak smile on her face, she realised why the room gave her the shivers. It still looked like Severus Snape owned this office, Severus Snape- the murderer of the greatest wizard that ever lived. The murderer of the greatest headmaster hogwarts has ever known and of the greatest man that Elizabeth, herself, knew. She smiled weakly, always being rather bad at hiding her emotions and trusting Evan too much maybe. She acted weirdly around him, the Lizzie that he knew wasn't the one that others saw. She just felt comfortable around him, for a reason that had yet to become apparent to her. "It's hard." she mumbled. She had trouble redecorating her new office but she just sucked it in and flicked her wand, she couldn't bare to see Dumbledore's office the way that it was. It just hurt. She didn't realise that coming back would bring back bad times, yet this war carried to linger on and she knew that she had to do whatever it took for her to protect the future generations. I'll have to set up a barrier... she told herself uncertainly. She didn't trust Aurors as much as she should of, partly because she blamed Dumbledore's death on them. She thought it was partially their fault so she didn't believe them all trustworthy. It was too soon, enough though it was years ago. Coming back just made it feel like yesterday.
((OOC: Lol, this will be interesting. Such a foolish weakling she is =P Doesn't show good... I think I may need to roleplay later to make her look tough again, lol.))

Evan watched Elizabeth curiously, noting her many changing emotions that displayed so easily on her face. Looks like I'm not the only one who's thinking more than their talking, he thought to himself as he looked at her closely. "It'll always be hard until the Dark Lord is gone," he told her simply. Evan smirked at this, knowing that it would be a long time before the Dark Lord was gone.
(Yeah, slightly wimpish... You can just have her act bad-ass later, lol)

Elizabeth glanced up at his voice that disturbed her thoughts, she smiled hopelessly, just hoping that it would be soon. The Dark Lord was said to be missing along with Harry, but may still believe both are alive. She had confidence that Harry would manage to overcome the Dark Lord and win the war, cause Love always won in the end. "Yeah, I know. I just don't know how to tell the students that." she muttered under her breathe, wondering why on earth she was the headmistress and not someone more reliable. She glanced up and smiled, attempting to push the darkness that clouded her mind and the fear that filled her heart and made her shiver. As she released a smile, a shiver manage to escape and run through her whole body but she ignored it and smiled anyway. She subconsciencely began twirlling her hair in her finger as she thought about the future and how'd she'd have to protect the kids that do join.
((OOC: Lol yup, definately =P Oh, introduced a bit of the plot in these posts. About the Dark Lord and stuff as the plot isn't up yet!))

Evan grinned at seeing Elizabeth twirl her hair in deep thought. Looks like someone's a bit too nervous about their job. She's gonna have to hide that if she wants respect. Evan always worked hard to get respect since it didn't easily come to him. "Just be honest with them and don't lie," he suggested to her. Wow, there's something that I've never done, he thought with a smile. "They may be young, but I doubt there so feeble-minded that they don't understand what's going on around them," he explained.

Elizabeth grinned as she glanced back up at him, she sighed knowing that he was right. He's somehow always right. she thought with a hint of irriation in her mind, yet it was filled by compassion. She continued to twirl her hair, without realising what she was doing, it was also a habit. She sighed, "Better get the letters written and sent out then." she mumbled to herself, not really sure what to do anymore. She hated the fact that she always seemed to be so weak and hopeless in front of Evan, or Professor Brennan as she still called him, but she just couldn't help it. Somehow, he'd always manage to comfort her, just like he did in their youth. She smiled slightly, at the thought that she knew him since Hogwarts, and yet they didn't really know each other at all. "Anyway." she said, trying to change the topic in hand to something more happier. She didn't want to seem hopeless infront of him anymore.
((OOC: Lol, decided to add the bit about the childhood, makes it more realistic that she trusts you. But I'll edit it if you don't want to have that in there. You don't have to say that you knew her, lol. Maybe she just always had a crush on you but you never noticed her, lol. Lol, she seems like that kind of person by this thread =P))

((Yeah, it would be definitely better if they knew each other. Lol; Evan was never too nice to those outside his house at Hogwarts so that's prolly why he didn't notice her))
Evan was really starting to be surprised by Elizabeth's nervous and weak attitude. He would've never expected that from her. He remembered her barely from Hogwarts, but what he did remember was her standing up for herself. I wonder what the sudden change is for, he thought. "I guess it would best to keep off that topic," he said, agreeing to her 'Anyway' statement. "It's not exactly a happy conversation if we direct it towards that area of thinking."

Lizzie nodded in agreement, "So..." she said awkwardly to him. She rarely had a conversation with him and was very suprised to find out that he applied for the Potions position, which was given to him immediately. "Ready to become a teacher?" she asked making conversation with the 1st thing that she thought of, "Professor Brennan?" she added to her question, to back it up. She knew that he'd see her as weak right now so she wondered what she should do to change that assumation in his mind but she failed to see anything, not yet anyway. she thought to herself as she waited for a reply from him.
((OOC: Lol, well in that case... we DEFINATELY need to have a Start of Term Feast, where she can stand up and seem brave. lol!))

Ready to become a teacher? Professor Brennan?
"No need to call me Professor Brennan," said Evan quickly as he waved his wand. "We're going to be close since we're working together so calling me Evan is fine," he explained. He didn't like to be associated with the last name of Brennan since most of the magical community recoginized it with Evan's father and brother, Michael and Jack Brennan, and that was the last thing that Evan wanted. He paused on the teacher part, trying to think of a good lie since his real reason was not something he'd be giving out anytime soon. "I dunno if I'm ready. I never really thought my future would have me stationed here," he said. It wasn't really lying, since Evan really hadn't thought his future wouldn't be here. Until Voldemort's mission. "What about you?" he questioned politely.
((Well once Evan sees her act a bit stronger and/or braver, he'll probably have a bit more respect in her. And she'll most likely like that then. Lol))

Elizabeth smiled, "Evan then." she said as she gazed into his eyes. Suddenly snapping out of it, she added, "Call me Lizzie, in the case.". Lizzie nodded at his response to the teaching career and gave her own a thought. She wasn't sure if she was ready either but she knew that what she was doing was for the children. She wondered what on earth he was teaching here for as he never struck her as the teaching type but she merely shrugged it away, "For the children," she said with a shrug as she continued, "I'd risk my life for their protection.", a sense of anger and loyalty crept into her voice that had turned serious and yet deadly to any that dare to pass her, as she thought about them. She knew that many children wouldn't want to return here, not after what happened anyway. Many would fear that the same would occur again and that their lives or children's lives would be endangered but there were also the few who knew that the children need to learn how to protect themselves and others from attacks. With the overcoming population of Death Eaters, it was vital that the children's defensive and offensive skills were increased and that Aurors were formed to protect the survivors of this brutal war. Healers needed to be created, in order to cure the inguries that the death eaters caused and Lizzie was one that felt strongly about it. And when she felt strongly, she'd do anything, she'd stand up and protect it no matter what the cost of it was.
((OOC: Lmao, she'll love it. Need to act tough then =P Thought I'd add another side to her in =P She can't be WIMPY!! Lol. I wonder if Dumbledore fell in love...))

((I always thought Dumbledore and McGonnagal had a secret affair...lol))
"Alright, Lizzie then," Evan said as if testing it out. His brow furrowed at being looked at so closely and wasn't sure if he was acting his part as a non-death eater well enough. I hope she hasn't caught onto me, he thought. He immediately threw that idea out of his head though, since so far he'd been completely successful with all his lies.
For the children, I'd risk my life for their protection.
Well that's certainly noble, thought Evan as he nodded his head in agreement. He saw that she was a bit stronger while saying this which confirmed his suspicions that she wasn't as weak as she seemed. "Don't be nervous about your opening speech then, because that type of thing is what the students will want to hear," he spoke.
