Lily drew her light blue robes around her as a chill breeze whipped through her loose blonde hair. She jogged up the stairs to the owlery, keen to get inside to send a letter to her brother. She had almost started writing a letter to her mother, before she realised that Cass was gone forever. It felt strange to admit, but Caelum or "Elias" as he liked to be called these days, was the only family she had left.
Dear Eli,
I got to Hogwarts okay, apparently a few old school friends are teaching here. You would probably remember Lizzie from the times I talked about her, and Evan's here too. I got the COMC position just like I wanted, you should really apply to be the mythology teacher. You are the brainy one after all, and you'd be able to keep me outta trouble. Plus, you love all that mythical stuff.. heck, maybe you could even research some mythical creatures for me to talk about to my class.
Anyway, how are you going, big bro? It feels like ages since I've seen you. I haven't talked to you since mum's funeral, if you could call that talking, seeing as neither of us were really up to saying anything. Anyway, write back A.S.A.P. and tell me how things are going with you.
Love, Lily.
She walked over to a big tawny barn owl and attatched the letter to its outstretched leg. "Take this to Caelum Black in Wiltshire." she said simply, watching as the majestic bird took to the air. She leaned against the stone wall as she waited for a reply from Cae.

Jan climbed to the top of the owlery with a letter to a well known potion master living somewhere in Africa. When she reached the top, she was a bit surprised to see she wasn't the only one in the owlery. "Oh, sorry," Jan said, slipping the letter into her robes. "You caught me by surprise. I didn't know anyone was up here."

Lily's ice blue eyes flickered to the door as she heard a voice. "Oh, hello," she said, smiling warmly. "Please, don't leave on my account. I'm just waiting for word from my brother." She noticed Jan slip the letter into her robes, but didn't take much notice of it. "Rather cold today, isn't it?" she observed, her teeth chattering from the chill wind.

"Yes, it is rather, isn't it?" said the calm voice of Caelum, grinning as he stood behind the little sister he hadn't seen for ages. "Guess who."
Lily froze where she was standing. Despite the fact that she would have very much liked to turn around, she found herself standing stock still, almost unable to move. It sounded like Caelum... but he was in Wiltshire, why would he be at Hogwarts? Slowly, after recovering from the initial shock, she turned around to face her grinning brother. Squealing in excitement, she threw her arms around his neck and squeezed him.
"Whoa, watch it sis. You aren't trying to squish me are you?" he grinned.
She let go, but she had seized both of his arms so he was unable to move away. "What are you, I mean why are you, ooh, I just can't believe you're here!" She hugged him again, this time less forcefully. She smiled widely, not having seen her older brother in an age.
Cae let out a soft laugh as she embraced him again. "What am I doing here? I came to look after my little sis, of course." he said, grinning in response to her question.
Lily slapped him lightly on the arm. "Oh come on, you couldn't have travelled all the way to Scotland from Wiltshire just to see me." she said, rolling her eyes. Even so, the grin crept back onto her face. "Oh, and how's the investigation going?"
He laughed again. "Well, that is sort of true. I did come here to teach mythology..." He raised an eyebrow slightly, "But of course I also came to see you, make sure you're not getting yourself into any er, situations you can't handle." A lump rose in his throat as she asked about his investigation, he gulped but didn't answer her question.
Lily's face fell ever so slightly. "Oh, so you're staying?" When she had sent that in the letter she hadn't really meant it, she was only joking.
Caelum laughed. "Don't look so excited about it. Would you rather me go all the way back to Wiltshire?"
Lily shook her head ferverently. "I don't know, it's just that I haven't seen you for extended periods of time for, well, years. I mean we sent letters and had the occasional visit... it's going to be strange with you living in the same place as me now. Watching my every move..." she rolled her eyes, sighing ever so slightly at her last words.
Cae laughed. "It's not like I'll be stalking you. I'll only drop in occasionally, is that okay with you?"
Smiling slightly, she nodded in reply.
Caelum's eyes flickered to Jan and he smiled warmly at her. "Now that we've come to an agreement, are you going to introduce me to your friend?" he asked courteously.
"Huh? OH, sorry Jan, I forgot you were standing there for a second... no offense meant. Jan, this is my brother Caelum, Caelum, this is our fellow staff member, Jan."
Caelum smiled politely and stepped forward to offer his hand to the woman. "You can call me Elias if you'd like. Or Cae, I don't really mind."

((Yeah, too lazy to switch))
Jan stood there and watch the exchange between the two siblings. A sharp pain was in Jan's heart. She wished her family was still alive. But, they all died, like everyone else she got close to. "Hi, Cae," Jan said. "Are you a teacher at Hogwarts, too?"

((That makes two of us, then, lol.))
BIC: Cae nodded in response, he had recently taken up his dead fiancee's position as a Professor. "Yes, I teach Mythology. Or rather will teach mythology when I start my class." he replied. "What subject do you teach?" he asked curiously.

"History," she said. "Interesting subject mythology is. History and mythology, they're not so different. Both are stories told by winners." She looked at Caelum and felt that they had a few things in common. "What made you decide to teach mythology," she asked.
