Name: Luna Lovegood
Age: 17
Heritage: Pureblood
Family: Her father (her mother is deceased because of an an experimental spell gone wrong)
Side: Order Member
Personality: Luna is quirky, kind to everybody she knows (even those who pick on her all the time), intelligent, and has a very creative imagination. Luna is always reading things upside down, coming up with far-fetched ideas, wearing outrageous and wacky clothing, and yet she doesn't really care what people think. Luna is very kind to everyone and likes to make friends. She really isn't judgemental and will always be there to listen to your problems. She is also very quiet, observative, and thoughtful. She loves to sit in a quiet place and watch the people around her.
Background: Luna was born in 1981 and grew up with her father, who runs the magazine The Quibble, and her mother who was an extraordinary witch (according to Luna). When Luna was nine, he mother died because of some spell gone wrong, but Luna never really talks about it. When Luna started school in 1992 at Hogwarts, she was sorted into Ravenclaw and many kids mocked her for her crazy thoughts, weird fashion sense, and down right weird first impression. Luna, surprising, does not try to fight back in any sort of way, she just ignores the people and moves one with her life. During her years, Luna made friends with Ginny Weasley and ended up meeting Harry and his friends the beginning of her fourth year. Though Ron and Harry and the others were hesitant towards her, Luna was very loyal to them and she had even joined Dumbeldore's army that year. Another helpful thing Luna had done was accompany Harry to the Department of Mysteries with Hermione, Ginny,Ron, and Neville as well. When the Daily Prophet, under pressure from Cornelius Fudge and the Ministry of Magic, refused to believe that Voldemort had returned and instead devoted many articles to slandering Harry, Luna asked her father to run Harry's story of the Dark Lord's rebirth. Mr. Lovegood did so and was delighted with the publicity it generated. Perhaps more importantly, though, the article's being printed resulted in the choice of many witches and wizards to side with Harry against Fudge and the Daily Prophet. The edition quickly became Mr. Lovegood's best selling issue.
Physical Appearance: Straggly, waist-length dirty blonde hair, pale eyebrows, and protuberant eyes that give her a permanently surprised look. She's very lean, thin, and tall and has very pale skin.
Ambition in Life: To take over her father's magazine The Quibbler
Role Model in Life: her father
House: Ravenclaw
Job: student
Special Powers or Gifts: Luna can see threstrals
Roleplaying Sample: Luna sat in the Ravenclaw Common Room, humming as she read The Quibbler. It was an article on threstrals and their supposed sightings. Of course, Luna was alone, but it didn't really matter to her. She liked to observe people if she wasn't reading a magazine or book. Thankfully, her homework was done and Luna had some free time to things before dinner. Having finished the article and the common room being pretty empty besides a boy writing an essay, Luna stood up and left the common room to go out onto the grounds. Luna liked going out to the grounds to think about things, observe, and imagine. It was what she always did unless she decided to socialize with Harry Potter or one of his friends. Outside, the wind was blowing softly and Luna was glad she brought out her scarf. She sat under a tree and began looking around for somebody to observe and study discreetly.
