Millie sighed as she entered her classroom. She could tell that the students didn't like her classes and thought they were boring but how on earth do you make a potions class fun? That was the question she had in her mind but no answer came to her everytime she tried to think of it. She sat down and waited for her students to enter.

Kris entered the classroom and took his seat. Seeing as he was hit with the potion last time he figured his sister would excuse him from not having to hand in any homework she may have given.
Connor sauntered into the class room and handed in his homework.
A) why it is important to check your ingredients for possible contamination before you use them.
It is important because so many things can go wrong and cause not only physical damage but emotional as well. If you do not check for contamination you then mix the contaminated product with non-contaminated then it can explode. Depending on what the contamination is it can have drastic effects and be life altering. This was aparant when Mel's potion exploded.
B) Why it is important to add the correct ingredients and follow the directions exactly.
This is important because depending on the potion you are trying to make you need to have it down to the precise instruction and ingredient or it will not work as it is supposed to. This is also important to avoid errors and misjudgments making a potion worthless. It can also prevent a mishap that could be devistating to not only the person making the potion but those around them at the time. That is the reasons why it is important to follow them.
He then went in search of a seat in the back of the classroom.

Morgan entered the class with a feeling of dread. She was the new student and so was bound to attract attention. Walking up to the Professor she said. "Sorry I'm late professor, My dad works for International Magical cooperation and forgot that I was due at Hogwarts last week." Not waiting for an answer Morgan turned to find a seat at the back of the class.
She spotted a boy sitting at the back all by himself and thought he looked like a good prospect. He shouldn't talk my ear off. she thought to herself as she walked over to him. and taking a seat beside him said "Not a people person, either, eh?"

Syne walked into the classroom and placed two rolls of pachment on the Professors desk. "Mel is still in the Infirmary and asked me to give you her homework. She insisted on doing it." She said in way of explination and turned to take her seat beside Kris.
A) why it is important to check your ingredients for possible contamination before you use them. Because some ingrediants have violent reactions when put togeher and you could get killed or spend a couple weeks in the Hospital wing, like Mel.
B) Why it is important to add the correct ingredients and follow the directions exactly. Part of the reason is the same as above, certain ingrediants can combine violently also not following.the directions to the letter can make it so you have wasted your time. There are also potions that you absolutely do not want on you and potions have a tendancy to explode.

Lana walked into Potions classroom and saw that Asher or Summer wasn't here yet. She stopped by the teacher's desk and dropped off the homework. She didn't know why the teacher assigned the homework. If anyone, only the Malfoy twins should have done that homework.
A) why it is important to check your ingredients for possible contamination before you use them. It is important to check your ingredients for possible contamination because it could effect the potion the potion maker is trying to attempt to make. It could have negative effects that could be bad enough to be dangerous. Also, it could make one not know its side effect if the contamination isn't noticed the first time. It could make finding the antidote harder.
B) Why it is important to add the correct ingredients and follow the directions exactly. If you do not follow the correct ingredients and/or follow the directsions exactly, it could lead to failure of creating the correct potion. A stir too much, a minute too long, or even too little of an ingredient could effect the outcome. Potion making requires skills and patience. Without it, one will always be a poor potion maker.

Asher stepped into the classroom and found it only partially occupied so far. He turned in his homework with little enthusiasum since he knew the grade that would accompany it. Something bad obviously. It wasn't his fault he fell asleep everytime he did potions homework.
A) Why it is important to check your ingredients for possible contamination before you use them? It's important because... Well, if you don't, you'll end up doing something stupid like the Malfoy twins. And you'll get in trouble, possibly kill someone, yada yada yada.
B) Why it is important to add the correct ingredients and follow the directions exactly? It's basically the same answer to question one. If you don't, your potion will mess it up. Sometimes it'll just smell bad and other times it could actually hurt someone. And that's not good.[/i]
"Hey," spoke Asher to Lana as he took a seat next to her. A thought popped into his head and he paused, wondering if he should ask her for help in the Summer department. "Erm... can I ask you something?" he asked tentatively.

Seeing as... A) I'm bored and B) I should post here anyways, I'm gonna post here... so happy day... Jasper hasn't been to any potions lesson so far.
Jasper walked into the classroom, taking a seat in the far back corner. He laid his head down. He wasn't looking forward to this. At all.

"Hey," Lana said, finally glad to have someone to talk to.
[/i]Erm... can I ask you something?[/]
Lana raised an eyebrow. She wasn't sure what he was about to ask her. It couldn't be something about potion if he seem uncomfortable asking it. "Uh, okay, I guess so," Lana said slowly. "What's up?"

"Er," started Asher, feeling very embarrassed to be asking Lana about this. She was gonna laugh, and Asher wasn't looking forward to that. "Er, well... I told Summer I liked her. And then she kinda hinted that she liked me back... I think. But I'm not sure," he stated quickly, trying to get the embarrassing facts over with.

"Really," Lana said, pretending to be surprised. She, of course, knew about this for ages. She was just waiting for one of them to come to her about it. "Well, if she hinted it, then that should be good enough. Maybe she's just a bit insecure." It was so unlike Lana to be so...understanding...but she thought it wouldn't hurt for her to try to be nice every once in a while. "If you think I'm going to tell you if she likes you or not, then, I think you don't really understand girls too well."

Asher could tell Lana wasn't surpised but didn't worry about it. He didn't want a huge reaction. She was being great at the moment which would help Asher ask for help. "I'm not asking you about that. I was just er, since you're a girl and all... I just don't know what I'm supposed to do next," he admitted.

Lana laughed, not because she was trying to be mean, but because she thought it was a bit silly. "Well, I don't know," Lana said. "It all depends on Summer. But, you could always try and compliment her." She wouldn't know if that would work because she wasn't sure if the whole half-blood thing still bother Summer or not. It probably didn't bother her as much as it would bother Summer's mother.

Morgan sat in the back of the classroom and laughed at the slytherin girls comment. No guy really knew girls. Take her father for example, he'd ignored both her and her mother until her mother had decided to kill herself one day while her daughter was out playing in the back yard. At least this boys cluelessness was a harmless cluelessness.

"I dunno," grumbled Asher as he slid back in his chair a little bit in thought. "That'd be weird though, wouldn't it?" he questioned, not really waiting for a response. "And I'd probably just screw it up anyway by saying something stupid." He scratched his head and fiddled with his fingers, feeling awkward about the current conversation but even more awkward about the suggestions that were coming out of it.

"Um, well, girls always like flowers and stuff," Lana said, thinking of some stuff she thought Summer would like. "Or, you could try and actually talk to her. You know somewhere private." Though, that might actually be hard considering Summer doesn't like to talk about her feelings for Asher, which might be a small problem.
