Melpomene Sauntered into the Library, not entirely sure where her twin was but probably with that boy from potions, Kristoff she thought his name was, they had been like glue since meeting up in the Room of Requirement.
'Well, one of us has to be responcible'She thought hoping to reach her sisterWhere are you anyway.'
'With Kris'Came the responceDon't worry we can work on it after Dinner
Mel rolled her eyes and sat down at a table near the back of the Library. Pulling out her text she began to answer the Professors questions.

Lana walked in the library, hoping to find a book on dark arts. She was searching through the shelf when she spotted one of the Malfoy twins. Her grandfather had nothing but great praises for the Malfoy family. She had to write to them about the Malfoy twins being in Gryffindor. She walked by the table and stopped to chat. "Hey," Lana said. "Where's your other half?"

Melpomene rolled her eyes.'Here we go again, why do you leave me alone to deal with slytherin wenches?' Mel thought to her sister.'Cause you are the one with the right temperment to put them in their place.'Came Syne's reply it was clear that she was smiling.
"Contary to popular belief, I am not attatched to my twin's side. We are regularly in different locations." She sneered at the Slytherin's "But we are just as strong seperately, so cornering one without the other doesn't work. Now if you don't mind, it's lunch time and I am supposed to meet someone." With that she slammed shut her books, stuffed them in her bag and throwing it over her shoulder, took one last parting shot at the Slytherin girl, "It was getting a little crowded in here anyway. Too much Slyterin scum." and stormed out of the library.

Damien entered the library carrying a book on the Dark Arts that he'd gotten for himself as a 'start of term' present and sat down in a seat by himself. He looked over to a table at the other side of the room and rolled his eyes when he saw one of his stupid housemates trying to come up with a cold remark to the Slytherin. She was obviously too stupid to come up with anything better. "Stupid git," he muttered. It seemed to be a favorite saying he had these days towards his fellow Gryffindors.

OOC: Here comes Jasper again... well, by that I mean this is the second thread for him... that's a big experience... I suppose... nevermind...
IC: Jasper walked in, slowly. Seeing as he hadn't attended the Potions class, he hadn't gotten the homework, so he just laid a book down on a table and began to read. It wasn't a book most people would read. It was a book about silent magic... or whatever it's called. Magic that you can use without words. And he wouldn't hand it over to anyone. Nor let anyone see it.

OOC: This should be the thread of the silent people. Meaning Jasper who can't talk and Damien who chooses not to. Silas would feel right at home here.
Damien glanced over at the Ravenclaw boy but found him uninteresting so he turned back to his book and continued to read.

Lana stood there with an amused look on her face as the Gryffindor tried to berate her. She rolled her eyes and smiled when she finally left. Well, now I have a table to myself, she thought happily. She turned her head and saw a boy sitting by himself on the other side of the room. She has never saw him around so she decided to go over and introduce herself. "Hey," Lana said, taking the seat across from him. "I haven't seen you around. Are you new?"

Damien looked up to the girl that was talking to him. He frowned at being questioned on being a new guy; obviously he wasn't a very noticeable third year. "No. Third year... And a Gryffindor obviously," he said, wearing a slightly disgruntled expression at this. This would be the killer comment right here; no Slytherin talked to Gryffindors. It was a common hatred. And Damien was just pissed at being on the goody two shoes side of it.

"A Gryffindor," Lana said a bit disappointed. She knew the two houses never got along, and she doesn't know if this would be any different. However, she did surprise herself by befriending a Ravenclaw. "Well, sorry to hear that," she said. There was no point in staying if he wasn't going to be at least an easy target to pick on. From what she could tell, he doesnt' talk too much. She started to get up from her seat.

Well, sorry to hear that.
Damien scoffed at this. "Don't think you're the only one," he said with a groan meaning that he didn't like being a Gryffindor either. He saw that she was already leaving though and shrugged. That converation had lasted a good... 10 seconds. And he didn't even know her name. No wonder he liked books so much better.

Don't think you're the only one
Lana stopped halfway and turned to face him. "You don't like being in Gryffindor," she asked. "I thought everyone would beg to be in that house. Well, people that aren't normal, I meant. Slytherin is the better house."

Okay, now the conversation is at 15 seconds. That was possibly a new record. "Not everyone," disagreed Damien. "Just people like Kris," he explained simply. Kris was the perfect example of what Damien thought was annoying. He was a goody-goody and thought he was perfect. Of course it was so that Kris ended up in Gryffindor.

Lana smiled when he made a comment about Kris. So, they both dislike Kris. "I'm sorry, I didn't get your name," Lana said. She never thought she would ever be friends with a Gryffindor. Then again, she can't let something like this out and about in school. People won't take her seriously if she, a Slytherin, was caught talking normally to a Gryffindor.

20 seconds. "Damien," he answered. "You?" He took by the smile on her face that she disliked Kris too. Thank god someone does. Seems like the rest of the Gryffindors worship the very ground he walks on. Stupid bloody git. I'll certainly never be a fool like that.

"Lana," she said. "You know most Gryffindors are just full of themselves. Kind of like Kris. But you're different. And, I know the sorting hat never makes a mistake. So, how does a guy like you get sorted into Gryffindor." Lana knew that the only person in the libary was the mute kid so it was okay if she was a bit more friendly to him than the other Gryffindors.
